Apologies again, but this always has to be our priority.

Youth Session Update

All Friday youth sessions are now suspended until further notice and when the whole Coronavirus situation improves and the outcome becomes much clearer.
While it is still permissible to cycle away from others you may still be able to get your cycling in with some care, or you may decide keeping fit indoors works for you, either way i'm sure we'll all be looking forward to getting things back to normal.
In the meantime, stay safe

Youth cycling this Saturday

This Saturday 29th February we will be holding another of our race events, this time its with a Cyclocross format as the final round of the Muddy Monsters series, so we will be on the grass and every rider will get at least two races. These will still suit ALL of our youth riders, but with the added attraction of some riders from other clubs joining us for a few races, making it ideal entry level racing, and suitable for getting started with competitive events. Each event will be in age groups, so even our youngest will be able to take part, and the oldest will riders will be under 16 age group (racing seperately to the younger ones)
Please note that if any of you would like to borrow a club bike, please help us by being there by 09:30
Entry will be £4 on the day from 09:15am with races to start at 10:00 and there will be prizes for the series and all finished by 12:00.
Please note: There will be a short senior race at 12:00 so we will pack away the course after this.
Parking will be in the adjoining Regional Pool car park and charges apply on Saturdays.
Hopefully our youngsters will all want to try these events, they seem to have a competitve streak even when not racing, so it should make a nice change to our usual format.
We could do with a few helpers on the day from 8:15, so if you are able to help please let me know, preferably in advance.
  • Riders, the more the merrier for good racing. All youth riders welcome.
  • Cakes etc. always very welcome
  • Refreshments - ideally 2 - 3 to help out with them
  • Signing on - two people required
  • Timekeepers - three people required
  • Demo rider to lead the riders round the course
  • Helpers for setting up, could do with a couple of helpers who could ideally get there early
  • Clearing away - if anyone can help this will be from around 12:30 after the seniors race
The details are on the British Cycling website, but as its entry on the day things are not too different to normal.
This will be at our usual venue The Embankment Athletic Track, Bishops Road, PE1 5BW.
****There will be one more event on Saturday 14th March with the other Muddy Monsters Regions also invited. *****
As always any questions please ask.
