Looking for some fab raffle pries for this year's Club Dinner & Prize presentation (see previous posts).
It doesn't have to be cycling specific so if you're looking for a new audience to promote your business/service whether sports massage, holistic therapies, wok cooking lessons, lifestyle makeover, beer & cake tasting sessions all will be welcome. Donations will be acknowledged here on our Facebook page, on the website & in the Club's weekly newsletter.

Youth cycling 18.10.2019
Family Ride 27th September
This Friday 27th September there will be another family ride, with parents most welcome to join a social ride of around one hour, along the river on the cyclepaths, so suitable for all types of bike.
Meet at the Embankment Athletic track for a 6:30 start and probably cover around 6 miles. Youths must wear helmets & bright/reflective clothing and please don't forget your lights.
When you've finished there's a Wattbike session going on at the track, so feel free to drop in for a cuppa, or just come and cheer the riders on.

Fenland Clarion Cycle Jumble
The club are hosting a cycle jumble and you are all welcome to attend, either to buy or sell, details below.
The jumble will be held at the Embankment Athletics Track, Bishops Road PE1 5BW, with free parking in the adjoining Regional Pool car park on Friday 4th October from 6:30 - 8:00 pm, although sellers will be able to set up beforehand.

Club Presentation Night Guest
This year's presentation night will take place at The Queens Head in Nassington on Saturday 16th November. We are now pleased to announce that we have booked our guest of honour "Dr. Michael Hutchinson" (Dr. Hutch). Ticket prices for a 2 course meal are:
Adult (18 yrs upwards) 2 course meal - £20
Under 18's having a 2 course meal - £15
Under 18's having chicken nuggets/chips - £5

Thomas does well in 3 peaks...
Another podium to add to the fenland trophy case, Thomas Stegeman got third u18 at the 57th annual 3 peaks cx race finishing in the respectable time of 4hours 17min.
Cullip Cup 25 result
It was a nice warm, but windy Sunday for the riders who took on the Cullip Cup 25. Steve Maile and Simon Pitchford were the two riders under the hour with Steve edging it.
Cullip Cup 25 is this weekend
Fenland Clarion riders will be making a rare trip south of Peterborough for the annual Cullip Cup 25 this weekend.
The Championship is nicely poised with just the hill climb champs to go after this round.
The race is on Sunday and is based on the scenic little village of Connington. As well as the scenice lanes around the airfield and Holme to course also used the old A1 and more familiar roads.
The first rider is of at 1000 and if you wish to state your intention to ride, please contact Steve Clarke
As with all club events, there are opportunities to marshall or help organise, so if you are not planning to take part your support is still needed and apprecaited.

Junior session this Friday 05th April
Just to remind you all that we are back at the Athletic Track on Bishops Road for another youth session this Friday 6th September from 6:30 - 7:30. Please aim to arrive in time to start at 6:30 and for any newcomers it will be great to have you along, but please aim to be there by around 6:15 to complete consent forms and introduce ourselves before we start.
Free parking is in the adjoining Regional Pool car park.
As the Cyclocross season is just getting started this week we will be on the grass concentrating on mounts, dismounts and gears.
