Youth ride tonight
No club 10 tomorrow - its the 2-up
Just a quick reminder that there is no Bluebell 10 tomorrow evening (5th June). It will be the 2-up championships.
Updates to Club Calendar
I have added quite a few more events suitable for the youngsters to the website and these include a number of Grasstrack events with the Go Green series amongst them. Please note grasstrack racing is fixed wheel bikes unless stated that freewheel racing for youngsters is included. The Go Green series does include freewheel youth races and Fenland Clarion will be hosting one on 11th August and the first event is on 30th June.
The dates can be found here,
http://www.fenlandclarion.co.uk/site/index.php/youth/youth-latest-news
Be great to see a few more of you try these events, and any questions please let me know.
8th June Lincs Circuit Racing
Just to remind you that we are co-hosting the third round of the Lincolnshire Circuit race series on Saturday 8th June, with two further rounds on Saturday 15th June & Saturday 6th July.
These events are a great opportunity for our riders, both youths and seniors, to try circuit racing. It seems like we will have a few riders taking part, and more would still be very welcome and if you are unsure please let me know and i'll try to answer any questions you may have.
Also we will need quite a few helpers on the day, and thanks to those who have already offered to help. With racing from 12:00 - 18:00 plus time for setting up and clearing away it's likely that sharing jobs will work. We also have the opportunity to raise some funds from the refreshments stall with an anticipated 70 - 100 riders likely to be taking part throughout the day. So even if you can't make the 8th you could still bring something for the stall to our youth session on Friday 7th at the Embankment.

So if you can help please let me know, and hopefully we'll see lots of you there.
Upcoming youth events
Hi to all
Firstly we will be at the Athletics track on Bishops Road for another coached session this Friday from 6:30 - 7:30 and we will be on the grass with the emphasis on preparing for the forthcoming Grasstrack events, both fixed and free wheel.
Also if anyone who can't make Saturdays racing in Lincoln that we are co-hosting, then i'll happily take any donations for our refreshments stall. If you'd still like to ride then you can enter on the day and there's events for everyone and all ages. (https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details/204469/Lincolnshire-Circuit-Racing-League-Round-3)
Next weekend from Friday 14th - Sunday 16th we will have our annual cycle camping trip, this year at Ferry Meadows. There will be rides to suit everyone and plenty of free time to enjoy each others company. Note this is not at the caravan club site, we have the small field close to the sailing centre all to ourselves at just £15 for one night or £25 for both nights. If you're planning to go could you please confirm on Friday and ideally pay for your pitch as well. If you can't make this Friday and still want to go please just let me know.
If any of you would like to start some grasstrack then West Suffolk Wheelers have their event on Sunday, note it's fixed wheel only.
Don't forget the ever popular chip shop will be on Friday 28th June and is suitable for all abilities, it's free and great fun, although if you fancy some chips you'll need to bring some pennies along.
Whatever cycling you do, stay safe and enjoy it.

Great Eastern Run
Once again Fenland Clarion have been asked to provide cycling marshals for the wheelchair athletes in the citys half marathon. We will have the numbers of athletes confirmed nearer the day so if you are down to marshal you will know whether you are required in advance and you will get to ride round the city on closed roads escorting some amazing people along the way. This is a morning event and we should be all finished by 1:00 pm. If you would like to offer to help or have any questions about this please let Malc know on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Saturday 8th June Lincolnshire Circuit Racing League Round 3
Fenland Clarion are co-hosting this event with Tuxford Clarion and it provides an ideal opportunity for riders of all ages to try a circuit race. Also we will require at least 10 helpers in various roles throughout the day, and these could be split so you don't need to commit to all day. Full details are at https://www.britishcycling.
If you any questions or if are able to help please let me know. Malc This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
