Frosty Friday to start February
Just to remind you that we will be at the Embankment Athletic Track as usual this Friday ready to ride at 6:30 until 7:30 and we will be on the grass this week.
Please ensure the youngsters are all suitably dressed for the cold weather, if we work them hard enough to get too warm they can take a layer off if needed, better that than getting very cold. Remember there's always hot drinks available inside.
Please park in the Regional Pool car park for free from 6:00 and if you'd like to borrow a bike please aim to be there by 6:15.
Wattbike TTT 2nd Feb
Wattbike Team Time Trial 50 mile (10 mile x 5) Brand New Format For Wattbikes
Saturday 2nd February at 10:00. Collyweston Heritage Centre, Main Road, Collyweston PE9 3PQ
A very different format with the club Wattbikes for this event, with a new venue and it would be great to get at least one of our own teams taking part. The format is an inter club event in teams of 5. Each rider will complete 10 miles giving each team of 5 a combined 50 miles. The first rider from each team will ride their 10 miles starting at 10:00 and then after a couple of minutes break to adjust the bikes for the next rider, the second 10 miles will be completed with all teams starting each 10 miles simultaneously, and so on through the team. Note if your team is a rider short then one rider may ride twice or you could borrow a rider from another team, or if you have extra riders why not let them fill in for another team so everyone gets a ride?
This link shows a recent event to give you an idea of how it works, https://www.facebook.com/kate.
Entry is open to all at £25 per team and is strictly limited due to the number of bikes on a first come basis. There will be a few prizes:Fastest team

On the subject of marshalling. Club events will only go ahead if everyone takes their turn and joins in with volunteering to ensure we can put on a race.
Emma will be in touch with details of the marshalling rota in due course, so please make sure you are available on any date you are allocated, or can swap.

Friday evening - Peterborough Athletic Track
Just a quick reminder that we will be at the Athletic Track on Bishops Road once again this Friday ready to start riding at 6:30 through until 7:30.
This week there is a choice of polishing up those cyclocross skills on the grass or taking the chance to try riding on the rollers, where parents can also take part.
Note that next week we will have an extra Friday evening when we will have a family ride and an evening of Wattbike races with the parents taking on the mighty talents of our youth riders.
Hopefully see lots of you there, and as always any questions please just ask.
Would you like extended Youth rides?
